Farm credit loans The Farm Credit System is a network of lending institutions providing credit to farmers, ranchers, and producers or harvestors of aquatic products. The farm credit system differs from commercial banks in that there are no deposits with system banks and associations. Funds for farm credit loans are raised through the sale of notes and bonds in the capital markets. The farm credit system provides over 90 billion in loans to around 500 thousand borrowers nationwide.
